PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laboratory capable of lowering an average wind amount in the whole test, while ensuring a required wind velocity during actual testing. SOLUTION: The side wind laboratory 1 for testing the side wind stability of a test car M which runs through a blowing zone B to which side winds are supplied with blowers 2 arranged along a test course R, are equipped with an incoming-side position detector 6 for detecting the test car M running towards the blowing zone B, and an outgoing-side position detector 7 for detecting the test car M having passed the blowing zone B, which are installed in the test course R, and a controller 8 which increases the speed of the blowers 2 to a number of revolutions for test time on the basis of detection results of the incoming-side detector 6, and decreases the speed of the blowers 2 on the basis of the detection results of the outgoing-side detector 7.
