PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic water making apparatus 100 capable of adjusting the water levels of an anode chamber 120 and a cathode chamber 130 even during electrolysis. SOLUTION: In the electrolytic water making apparatus 100 equipped with the anode chamber 120 and the cathode chamber 130 and the partition wall for separating both chambers, the anode chamber 120 and the cathode chamber 130 are allowed to communicate with each other by a notch 141 which is provided on a predetermined water surface position or in the vicinity thereof. The anode chamber 120 is provided with an anode plate 160, and positive voltage is applied to the anode plate 160 through an electric wire 191.
