PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a weatherproof steel, which keeps hot dip galvanizing and surface ceramic coating combined for synergistic advantages of them, considerably facilitates management of a treatment liquid, and makes drying under an environment at a relatively low temperature generate no whitening on the surface of a steel, and has a reduced treatment cost. SOLUTION: The surface of a galvanized steel is coated with a treatment liquid of alkali metal silicic acid (wherein alkali metal includes at least one kind selected from the group consisting of kalium, cesium, and rubidium), dried at a temperature of <50°C, and the surface of the galvanized steel is overlaid with a ceramic coating layer.
