<p>Method for the detection of existence one or more methylation comprises converting nucleic acid, which converts non-methylated cytosine to uracil or into another base that differs in its base pairing behavior of cytosine, so that 5-methylcytosine remains unchanged, and catalysis of nucleic acid activity. Independent claims are included for: (1) an oligonucleotide comprising a fragment of sequence comprising a catalytic nucleic acid activity or a sequence code for the catalytic nucleic acid activity; a fragment of sequence comprising a base A, C, T or G at a position to distinguish the methylation and non-methylation position of the nucleic acid to be examined; and bases A, T, C or A, T, G at all further position; and (2) a kit for the execution of the procedure comprising a reagent or enzyme, which converts the nucleic acid to be examined; and a catalytic nucleic acid activity or a zymogen, which codes for a catalytic nuclei acid activity.</p> |
