An elastic body inserting apparatus is provided to reduce false insertion of an elastic body by sensing elastic repulsive force during insertion and correcting the insertion position of the elastic body. An elastic body inserting apparatus includes a holder(110), a first pressure sensing unit(120), a second pressure sensing unit(130), a cylinder(140), linear driving units(151,152), and a control unit(160). The holder of the same diameter as an elastic oil seal(1) holds the oil seal. The first pressure sensing unit is mounted on the holder, and senses the radial stress of the oil seal. The second pressure sensing unit is mounted on the holder, and senses the vertical stress of the oil seal. The cylinder drives the holder in a vertical direction. The linear driving units are interposed between the cylinder and the holder, and adjust the horizontal position of the holder relatively to the cylinder. The control unit senses signals output from the first and the second pressure sensing units, and controls operation of the linear driving units and the cylinder. |
