An organic light emitting diode and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to emit light from a plurality of organic light emitting diodes by one power supplying unit without installing a respective power supplying unit. An organic light emitting diode includes a base rod(20), and a plurality of organic light emitting units(10). A plurality of organic light emitting units have a first electrode(30), an organic layer, and a second electrode(50) which contact serially along the longitudinal direction on the base rod. The first electrode is formed on the base rod and the organic layer is formed on the first electrode. The second electrode is formed on the organic layer. The first electrode of one of a plurality of organic light emitting units is arranged to be contacted reciprocally with the second electrode of other adjacent organic light emitting unit on the organic light emitting unit.
