PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless access system 10 which is capable of reducing the transmission power of a terminal in a prescribed area while maintaining a wide area wireless communication environment. SOLUTION: In the wireless access system 10, a local area wireless access point 30 covering a serviceable area 31 narrower than a serviceable area 41 covered by a wide area wireless access point 40 is disposed in the serviceable area 41. A mobile radio terminal 20 in the wireless access system 10 performs radio communication through the local area wireless access point 30 or the wide area wireless access point 40. Radio communication between the mobile radio terminal 20 and the wide area wireless access point 40 is performed by using a first radio communication line, and radio communication between the mobile radio terminal 20 and the local area wireless access point 30 is performed by using a second radio communication line.
