PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system capable of being exchanged with a simplified work without causing a displacement between a light receiver of a solid state imaging element used for a camera system and a lens optical system. SOLUTION: A camera body 10, where a solid state imaging element 16 and a lens optical system 18 are integrally constructed, is removably connected to a camera control device 30. The camera body 10 includes the solid state imaging element 16 and the lens optical system 18 for focusing a subject image on the solid state imaging element 16 at one end of a flexible printed circuit 11, on which a driving circuit for driving the solid state imaging element 16 and an output circuit are formed; and further a connection terminal 14 connected to the output circuit at the other end of the flexible printed circuit 11. The connection terminal 14 of the camera body 10 is removably mounted on a USB interface unit 20, and the camera control device 30 is connected to the USB interface unit 20 for controlling recording operation of a photographed image by the camera body 10.
