PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect and display images related to a required image. SOLUTION: In an image reproducing apparatus, many images are grouped and recorded in an image database. A main image 113 is displayed in a main display area 111. Images to which photographing scenes of both of "person" and "beach" given to the main image 113 are given are detected from groups different from the group to which the main image 113 belongs.
