PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone system with an authentication function for providing a response service corresponding to each operator of an extension terminal with an authentication function. SOLUTION: In the telephone system comprising a master unit 10 and a plurality of extension terminals 30-1 or the like including the extension terminal 20-1 with an authentication information input function, the extension terminal 20-1 or the like includes an authentication information entry means 203-1 for entering authentication information, the master unit 10 includes an individual authentication means 12 for particularizing a concerned individual from the authentication information, and an individual compatible response service storage means 104 for storing response services corresponding to individuals, when the extension terminal 20-1 is operated, the extension terminal 20-1 acquires individual authentication information of an individual operating the terminal and transmits the authentication information to the master unit, and the master unit is characterized in searching the response service corresponding to the individual particularized authentication information and to automatically execute the response operation in response to the searched response service.
