Disclosed is a pyrazinecarboxamide derivative represented by the general formula (I) or a salt thereof: (I) wherein X represents a fluoro(C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>3</SUB>)alkyl group; and A represents the group represented by the following formula: where R<SUP>4</SUP> represents a hydrogen atom or a (C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>2</SUB>)alkyl group; and Y represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a (C<SUB>1</SUB>-C<SUB>4</SUB>)alkyl group. The derivative or a salt thereof can be used as a plant disease-controlling agent and shows a broad controlling spectrum even when used at a low dose.
