<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored composition containing a novel copper chelate pigment and being excellent in hue and image fastness. <P>SOLUTION: The copper chelate pigment is represented by formula (1): Cu<SP>2+</SP>[(X<SB>1</SB>)<SB>l</SB>(X<SB>2</SB>)<SB>m</SB>(X<SB>3</SB>)<SB>n</SB>]-(W<SB>1</SB>)<SB>s</SB>(wherein X<SB>1</SB>, X<SB>2</SB>, and X<SB>3</SB>are each a monodentate or bidentate ligand, provided that at least one of them is represented by formula (2); l, m, n, and s are each an integer of 0 to 2, provided that l+m+n>1; and (W<SB>1</SB>)<SB>s</SB>is a counterion necessary to neutralize the charge). In formula (2), Q is a 5- or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; and Z<SB>2</SB>is an atomic group which forms a 4- to 6-membered ring; L<SB>1</SB>to L<SB>5</SB>are each a substituted or unsubstituted methine group; n1 is an integer of 0 to 4; n2 is 0 or 1; Y<SB>2</SB>is an oxygen atom or =NR<SB>3</SB>-; and R and R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>3</SB>are each a substituent, provided that at least one of them has a chelatable group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
