<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor correction information acquisition method capable of acquiring in a short time, correction information for correcting an output from an excitation coil 14 corresponding to a temperature characteristic of the excitation coil 14, and a rotation angle detection device 1. <P>SOLUTION: This sensor correction information acquisition method, wherein the rotation angle detection device 1 having the excitation coil 14 includes a temperature sensor 17 for detecting the temperature, has a step S1 for acquiring a rotation angle signal based on a coil output signal of the excitation coil 14, and a step S1 for acquiring a temperature output from the temperature sensor 17 at an output time of the rotation angle signal.
