<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shield a middle space between a cylindrical drum hub and bearing blocks to prevent entry of impurities. <P>SOLUTION: A basket 1 is rotatably fixed to and coupled with a drive shaft 3 coupled with a drive unit 12 extending along a rotating axis 6 in the bearing blocks 4, 7, 8, 9, 20, 24 through a basket hub 2 and a suspension device 21 of the basket 1 in a bearing device for the basket 1 of a centrifugal separator arranged around the rotating axis 6.
