<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet member which has the necessary strength and repulsion capability, and also an exhaust gas processing device having such a sheet member. <P>SOLUTION: In the present invention, the sheet member includes inorganic fibers and has multiple inter-woven points formed on at least one of a surface and a back surface of the sheet member formed by a needling process.
