<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint capable of easily and rapidly connecting a female member having a socket part to a male member having an insert-side tip part to be inserted to the socket part in a stopped state without using a nut (pressing ring) as in a conventional pipe joint. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe joint comprises the female member 2 having the socket part 10 to be relatively rotatably inserted and connected; the male member 1 having the insert-side tip part 5; a seal ring 4 interposed between the overlapping faces of the socket part 10 and the insert-side tip part 5; and a stopper ring 3. The male member includes a stopping groove 7 circumferentially provided on the outer circumference of the insert-side tip part 5. The female member includes a stopper ring housing recessed groove 11 provided on the outer circumference of the socket part 10, and a claw insert hole 12 provided on the groove bottom thereof. The stopper ring 3 is formed in an expansible and contractible C-shape having a plurality of stopping claws 9 protrusively provided on the inner circumference and fitted into the stopper ring housing recessed groove 11, and tip portions 9a of the sopping claws 9 are protruded into the socket part 10 through the claw insert hole 12 and engaged with the stopping groove 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
