<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing unit and an information processing method capable of controlling the disclosure of a highly confidential document. <P>SOLUTION: A conference system 200 projects an image by a projector 30 based on image data inputted from an information terminal 10, and has a metadata extractor 25 for recognizing the image at a prescribed position in the image based on input image data to restrict the disclosure of the image. The metadata extractor 21 performs prescribed processing to the image data based on the extracted metadata.
