<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluorine-containing alcohol derivative by reacting a perfluoroalkylsilane compound with a carbonyl compound in a solvent in the presence of a Lewis acid as a reaction catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The fluorine-containing alcohol derivative expressed by general formula (3): R<SB>F</SB>C(OSiR<SP>3</SP>R<SP>4</SP>R<SP>5</SP>)R<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>or a desilylated fluorine-containing alcohol derivative expressed by general formula (4): R<SB>F</SB>C(OH)R<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>is produced by the reaction of a carbonyl compound expressed by general formula (1): R<SP>1</SP>COR<SP>2</SP>with a perfluoroalkylsilane compound expressed by general formula (2): R<SB>F</SB>SiR<SP>3</SP>R<SP>4</SP>R<SP>5</SP>in a solvent in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
