PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control technique of a power-saving wireless LAN multicast band, for maintaining communication quality in a multicast application. SOLUTION: When transmitting a multicast data after transmitting a DTIM beacon [5-1], an AP [3-5] stands by for the transmission for a PIFS [5-2] time, without executing a back-off procedure by setting a CW range to 0. After the lapse of the PIFS [5-2] time, the AP [3-5] immediately transmits multicast data [5-3]. Consequently, the multicast data can be transmitted preferentially to a unicast data to effectively suppress a delay time. When multicast data to be transmitted successively thereafter are stored in the AP, the stored multicast data [6-2] are continuously transmitted at intervals of an SIFS [6-1] period, thereby suppressing the delay time resulting from band occupation by the continuous multicast data, and improving radio band use efficiency.
