PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fan motor, in which a suction angle of fluid is smoothed from an inner peripheral side part to an outer peripheral side part of a fan blade to reduce noise. SOLUTION: An outer shell member 1 comprises a casing 2 and a cover 3 covering an upper surface opening of the casing 2, and incorporates a fan 14 and a motor 21 rotating the fan 14. A plurality of fan blades 13 are disposed around a shaft 11, on an outer peripheral side of a cup-like part 12 constituting a fan 14. Extension parts 13c are provided so that inner peripheral side parts 13a of the fan blades 13 are higher than outer peripheral side parts 13b. Suction ports 18 are opened and formed in a cover 3, and has a diameter larger than an inner peripheral diameter of the fan blade 13 and smaller than an outer peripheral diameter of the fan blade 13. By providing the extension parts 13c, the suction angle of fluid is smoothed from an inner peripheral side part 13a to an outer peripheral side part 13b of the fan blade 13 to suppress the noise.
