PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of a bearing of an electric motor, by cutting off the transmission to the electric motor of an alternating torque load transmitted from a control shaft. SOLUTION: This driving mechanism 6 rotatingly controls the control shaft 32 in response to an engine operation state, and is composed of a screw shaft 45 having a male screw part 49 on an outer peripheral surface, the electric motor 36 applying torque to the screw shaft, a screw nut 46 moving in the axial direction of an output shaft in response to rotation of the screw shaft by threadedly engaging with the male screw part, and a link mechanism for linking the screw nut and the control shaft. A small diameter part 36b of the output shaft 36a of the electric motor and a small diameter shaft 45c of the screw shaft 45, are joined in a serration in a loosely fitting state by a connecting member 54, and are connected so that rotational torque from the output shaft can be transmitted to the screw shaft, while allowing the relative movement of the output shaft and the screw shaft in the axial direction.
