PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift lever device capable of reducing costs and space. SOLUTION: This shift lever device 1 is provided with a shift lever 3 movable along a shift direction and a select direction orthogonal to each other, a housing 5 with a base member 5A fixed in a vehicle, a shift gate 5B-2 through which the shift lever 3 penetrates, and a cover member 5B fixed in the base member 5A, a guide member 7 guiding the shift lever in the select direction, which is arranged in the housing 5 and is capable of moving in parallel along the shift direction with the shift lever 3, and a detection member 9 detecting the move of the guide member 7 in the shift direction while having an arm section 9a capable of moving in parallel along the shift direction with the guide member 7 and a body section 9b arranged in the base member 5A.
