PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game medium transfer device which can mitigate the burden of restoration work by automatically discharging game mediums from a belt conveyor in case the transfer action is stopped due to a failure of a motor or a breaking of a belt. SOLUTION: The game medium transfer device closes an upper tank shutter 13a of an upper tank 13 and contracts back an expansion rod 63 and tilts the belt conveyor to make the discharge section 25 side descend around the upper tank 13 side rotary shaft 61 when detecting the transfer action of the belt conveyor 50 by a sensor 58 and detecting the stop of the transfer action due to the breaking of the belt or the failure of the motor. As the result, game balls on the belt conveyor 50 roll toward the discharge section 25 and are forcedly discharged. The device returns the belt conveyor 50 to a nearly horizontal condition by expanding the expansion rod 63, and supplies and transfers game balls by opening the upper tank shutter 13a when detecting the recovery to the original condition from the failure and the resumption of the transfer action.
