PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope with narrow diameter, capable of securing sufficient illumination range in the imaging range with a wide visual field, and obtaining an excellent endoscopic image. SOLUTION: The endoscope 1 is characterized by an insertion part 3 with a distal end part 10, an objective lens 15a disposed at the distal end part, an illumination lens 16a disposed adjacent to the objective lens at the distal end for applying the illumination light from a light source 5, and a wall part 14 (35) disposed between the objective lens and the illumination lens to intercept the illumination light.
