PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fishing rod with decoration devised so as to express remarkable originality and novel idea by applying decoration by tapered and modified cloth piece having narrow width and constituted so as to get out of a rut thereby. SOLUTION: Tapered and modified long cloth pieces having narrow width are cut from a large woven fabric having print pattern or weave pattern to which fray-stopping treatment by coating with a resin or immersing processing is applied, and the modified cloth pieces having narrow width are wound through a ground having light color such as white around outer surface of a blank or a grip and fixed and immersion of water to the modified cloth pieces having narrow width is prevented by coating of a transparent resin layer such as an epoxy resin layer or an urethane resin layer.
