CONTROL FOR BROADCAST INTERACTIVE SERVICES

There is disclosed a broadcast signal which combines content information with control information. Said control information preferably provides a control function at one or more user terminals at which it is received. There is further disclosed a broadcast signal which combines content information with control information, said control information being synchronised in time to an event in the content information, such that an action associated with said control information can be initiated at one or more user terminals synchronously with presentation of the event in the content signal. There is still further disclosed a broadcast signal which comprises content information, and a control signal which is synchronised to initiate an action associated therewith simultaneously at each user terminal it is received. The control information may be transmitted in combination with the content information, or independent thereof.
