A wind velocity alarm system for a vehicle is provided to prevent damage of a door by detecting a velocity of wind outside the vehicle and controlling a door lock. A wind velocity sensor(30) is installed on an outside of a vehicle to detect a velocity of wind blowing from a rear of the vehicle to a front thereof. A controller(32) receives a signal from the wind velocity sensor. An alarm unit(34) gives a warning on a driver if the velocity of the wind excesses a predetermined value. A door lock releasing switch(36) releases a door lock according to the signal applied to the controller. The controller turns the alarm unit of/off according to some signals.
