摘要 An apparatus and a method for removing a non-linear distortion signal by using cross gain modulation are provided to remove a third IMD signal and different non-linear signal caused by non-linear components of a laser diode which are caused when simultaneously modulating and transmitting plural RF(Radio Frequency) signals by using cross gain modulation of a distributed feedback laser diode, thereby minimizing deterioration of functions of an RoF(Radio over Fiber) system because of non-linearity. A first laser diode(200) converts a main signal into a first optical signal, receives a second optical signal and performs cross gain modulation of the first and second optical signals to generate a third optical signal. A second laser diode(300) converts the main signal into the second optical signal in which amplitude is controlled and inputs the converted signal into the first laser diode. A phase controller(100) is located in a front end of one of the first or second laser diode, performs phase conversion of the main signal and inputs the converted signal into one of the first or second laser diode.
