An MS(Mobile Station) and a method for providing caller-mapped sound sources together with a text message are provided to output the sound source corresponding to a phone number of the other party's terminal when confirming the received text message, so that a user can confirm the text message as listening to sound sources which are unique to text message originators. A database(320) stores sound sources mapped according to originating phone numbers. A message manager(330) receives text messages from a base station and stores the received text messages. A caller tracking unit(340) tracks an originating phone number of the other party's terminal from the text message. A sound source connecting unit(350) extracts sound sources corresponding to the originating phone number of the other party's terminal from the database when the text message is outputted through a display. For reproduction through a voice output unit, a decoder(360) decodes the extracted sound sources. |
