A device and a method for guiding a yard tractor in a container dock are provided to easily determine work progress condition by implementing an image recognition scheme through a camera. A device for guiding a yard tractor in a container dock includes a camera, a system and a vehicle computer. The camera photographs a recognition mark(20), which is attached on a chassis(23) of the yard tractor, according to an embedded program. The system performs a digital image operation on the photographed images by the camera, calculates a distance to a stop position using a recognition program, and guides the yard tractor to the stop position. The vehicle computer, which is installed in the yard tractor, receives the distance and images from the system through a wireless LAN(Local Area Network). |
