Moulded part made of glass or glass ceramics and method for their manufacture

Production of a molded glass or glass-ceramic body comprises placing glass blanks (12a, 12b) next to each other on a molded surface (14) of a temperature-resistant drop mold (13), lowering the blanks onto the molded surface by heating the mold and blanks, fixing the blanks to each other to form a molded body and lifting the molded body from the mold. An independent claim is also included for a molded body produced by the above process.
