The fire door has a metal profile round the edge and divided in the region of the end face of the fire panel door (4) so that the two profiled parts (6,7) each engage over one of the side faces of the glass door and over the end face connecting the side faces and are spaced from each other. A heat resistant fireproof material (13) is provided between the profiled parts at least in the region of their partition.
