A headrest comprises support means which allows the headrest cushion to be positioned at any desired angle. Profiled head cushion 11 is supported by a ball joint [8a, Figure 10] mounted on a slider 8 which can move laterally along a curved cross bar 7. The curved cross bar is mounted on a pivot tube 2 through support plates 3a,3b and locked by a lock screw 6. The pivot tube is mounted to an attachment stem 1. The ball joint is received by a U-shaped clamp socket 9 mounted to the headrest cushion 11. Screw 10 can be used to clamp the ball within the socket. The ball joint, slider 8, and pivot tube 2 allow the headrest cushion to adopt a wide range of angular positions [see Figures 1-7]. Vertical adjustment can be provided by the slotted stem 1. |
