PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image signal processing apparatus and an electronic camera whereby a user can confirm at a glance whereabouts in an entire original image a range magnified at present exists in the case of using electronic zooming at photographing or reproduction. SOLUTION: When the user uses electronic zooming at photographing or reproduction in the electronic camera provided with an electronic zoom function and an image display apparatus, a zoom-in image is displayed on an entire screen frame 44 of the image display apparatus. In this case, zoom-in range information 46, denoting from which display range of the image photographed at a maximum field angle (that is, the original image without zooming) the displayed zoom-in image at present is segmented and magnified, is overlappingly displayed on the zoom-in image. When the user operates a moving key or a cross key or the like to enter a command of moving a display position of the zoom-in image, the electronic zoom-in range is moved according to the command to revise the display range of the zoom-in image and revise a display position of the zoom-in range information 46 corresponding thereto.
