A system for using a smart card is provided automatically to execute an application program for executing the various additional services of the smart card when the connection of the smart card to an Internet communication terminal is recognized. A system(1) for using a smart card includes a smart card(10), a card reader(20), a communication terminal(30), a management server(40), and an application(50). The smart card mounts additional services thereon. The card reader reads the information mounted on the smart card. The communication terminal is capable of performing Internet communication and communication with the card reader. The management server manages the additional services. The application automatically executes an application program to execute the additional services when the connection of the smart card to the communication terminal is recognized, and is mounted on any one of the smart card, the card reader, and the communication terminal. |
