A number of electroluminescent panels which can be illuminated together and then sequentially extinguished are mounted within a narrow frame, designed to be placed on a music stand. When a specially printed and laminated sheet of sight-reading music is inserted into the frame via a slot on its top edge, the printed bars of music and the electroluminescent panels come into registration. Depressing and releasing Start Button S3 switches all panels on but these then sequentially extinguish at a rate determined by Speed Control VR2. The disappearing music compels the player to move on to the next bar and hence encourages continuity in reading. The Reader is operated by a rechargeable battery and can be used anywhere in the world. |
