A light emitting module and a display device having the same are provided to make slim the display device and to decrease the number of optical sheets by increasing light distribution diameter of an emitted light from the light emitting module. A light emitting module(100) comprises a light source(110) and an optical cap(150). The light source is installed at a substrate(105), and the optical cap covers a side and a upper surfaces of the light source. The optical cap comprises a sidewall part(150) and a cover part(155). The cover part comprises an upper surface(156) and a lower surface(158). The upper surface is extended from an outer curved surface(154) of the sidewall part, and the lower surface is extended from an inner curved surface(152) of the sidewall part. A first uneven pattern is formed at the upper surface, and a second uneven pattern is formed at the lower surface.
