PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device which takes a well-balanced image on the whole. SOLUTION: Microlenses 8 are disposed on a pixel region 10 with shifts toward its center, relative to photo detectors 4. A shift quantity 11 of the microlenses 8 to the photo detectors 4 is nonlinearly varied from the center of the pixel region 10 to its periphery such that the shift quantity 11 is a little at the central portion of the pixel region 10 and increases toward its periphery. Thus, the light quantity distribution over the pixel region 10 is such that the light quantity attenuation is a small near the periphery. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
