摘要 <p>A virtual- or real elastic sheet (10) is prepared. Regions of expansion and compression or buckling which are to be formed in it, are determined. The data set is modified to at least partially compensate the expansions and compressions. The elastic sheet, structured using the modified data set, is examined for microstructural distortions. The foregoing process is repeated iteratively on the same sheet, until a final data set is obtained. The sheet is structured so that at least one structure-carrying surface is produced on it. The final data set is converted into a vector data model for the free-form surface. The rear of the sheet is given a three-dimensional macrostructure which corresponds with the expansion profile. The final data set contains half-tone data. Edges of the sheet are weakened to accept expansions. The sheet is stretched out on a mold, so that the structured surface faces it. A pressure difference formed between the structured surface and the rear surface, presses the sheet towards the mold. A lubricant comprising air or oil is introduced between sheet and mold. One or more sliding cushions are produced between them. One or two of the sliding cushions are activated and deactivated. The lubricant is a fluid which can be hardened after stressing is relaxed. The fluid contains parting agent. It contains ceramic pigments and/or electrically-conducting material. Additional steps include casting behind the sheet, and removing the resulting molding and sheet from the mold.</p>
