The circuit arrangement has first and second (C1) energy storage devices in series, a voltage converter (1) with its first side connected to second energy storage device and that regulates the voltage across it, a third energy storage device connected to the second side of the converter and a control unit that controls the converter and regulates the voltage across the second storage device so the sum of the voltages across the first (UB1) and second storage devices equals a predefined desired voltage..
