An air conditioning apparatus is provided to facilitate opening of a front cover by simply pressing thereon, preventing sudden opening with an opening guide device and to allow easy repair or replacement of inner components with the opened front cover fixed in a predetermined angle. An air conditioning apparatus(10) comprises a body, a front cover(11), a fixing device, an opening guide device, and a pair of hinges. The body is provided with a fan(15) mounted therein for suction of indoor or outdoor air, and at least one discharge port on the side surface. The fixing device secures the front cover to the body. The opening guide device prevents sudden opening of the front cover, consisting of first and second gears. The pair of hinges consists of a first hinge provided on one side of the front cover and a second hinge provided on one side of the body and coupled with the first hinge, wherein the first hinge is coupled to the second hinge from the side.
