A wire and rope inspection system and a method used with a cable car, a gondola and a ski lift are provided to detect defect and limit point of a wire and a rope by measuring a degree of abrasion and the pressure applied to a cable or a wire. A wire and rope inspection system includes a dome(100) acquiring image and sensor information, a radio terminal transmitting the image and sensor information(200), a radio terminal receiving the image and sensor information(300), a computer with a program for analyzing(400), and a server(500). The computer with program is possible to analyze an abrasive state of a wire by using the information about an image of the wire based on the information received from the radio terminal receiving the image and sensor information, and information about signals from several sensors. The server displays a graph or a numerical value and an image corresponding to the graph or the numerical value to allow an administrator to detect with the naked eye, in the middle of which data transmitted from several cable cars, gondolas or ski lifts is sorted and recorded according to respective cable car, gondola or ski lift.
