A rotary compressor and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to attach fit an oil separation disk into an upper part of a rotary shaft without causing deformation of the oil separation disk and interference with other members. In a rotary compressor wherein a rotary compression mechanism unit(C) and a motor mechanism unit(M) giving torque to the compression mechanism unit are provided in a hermetic vessel(1), so that the gas entering from the outside can be compressed by the compression mechanism unit and discharged out, the motor mechanism unit comprises a stator(2) secured to the hermetic vessel, a rotor(3) where torque is applied by rotating magnetic field generated by the stator, and an oil separation disk attached to the rotor and rotated together with the rotor, and all of which are provided horizontally. One side of the oil separation disk or a plate-like member of upper rotor below the oil separation disk includes a plurality of attachment holes of predetermined sizes is formed, while another side includes corresponding attachment holes that one is bigger than another. A connection member is fitted through the corresponding attachment hole, integrating the oil separation hole and the plate-like member of upper rotor, wherein the oil separation disk is attached on the upper part of the rotor. |
