A backlight unit for a liquid crystal display device and a liquid crystal display module using the same are provided to prevent transformation of a support main in a process of assembling a liquid crystal display module by inserting protrusion parts formed at a lamp housing into grooves formed at the support main. A backlight unit(120) for a liquid crystal display device includes a reflector(122), a light guide plate(126) secured on the reflector, fluorescent lamps(124a,124b) arranged along a length direction of one side of the light guide plate, and a lamp housing(133) guiding upper sides, lower sides, and outsides of the fluorescent lamps and including protrusion parts(160). A liquid crystal display device module includes a liquid crystal panel(130) secured on optical sheets(128), a support main(110) surrounding the backlight unit and the liquid crystal panel and having grooves, a cover bottom(140) covering a rear side of the light guide plate, and a top cover(150) surrounding an edge of a front side of the liquid crystal panel. The protrusion parts of the lamp housing are inserted into the grooves of the support main. |
