A drum type washing machine is provided to reduce a fabrication cost by integrally forming a filter unit case with a tub and to reduce noise by eliminating foreign material from water. A drum type washing machine comprises a tub(20), a filter unit case(510), a filter unit, and a guide(506). The tub stores water, wherein a first drain port(502) is formed at its lower part. The filter unit case is communicated with the first drain port. The filter unit case is integrally formed at a lower part of the tub. The filter unit is installed in the filter unit case and filtering foreign material from water. The guide is formed at an internal surface of the tub and guiding foreign material to the first drain port. |
