System and method for telemetrically controlling and monitoring vending machines

The system has a central computer and communication unit (101) with transmitting/receiving module for telemetric exchange of data. A control and communication unit (102) arranged at a vending machine (VM) has a transmitting and receiving module for exchanging data with the unit (101). A device is adapted for acoustic and optical reproduction of information e.g. advertising information, is arranged at the machine. The unit (102) is aligned to collect data in a correlated manner by a selling process during reproduction of certain information at the machine and to transmit data to the unit (101). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling and monitoring of vending machines.
