A stair assembly 1 comprising a pair of parallel elongate members 2 each having a lower elongate ground engaging surface and an upper surface, located between said members are a plurality of pivotable tread members 5 able to accommodate and be secured at a plurality of angles relative to the principal axis of the elongate members. The stair assembly may comprise means to secure the treads at a plurality of angles wherein the securing means may comprise at least one strut 8 engageable with a retaining means 9 and may be connectable at discrete positions 10 along at least one of the parallel members. The stair assembly may comprise a friction enhancing surface or hand rails and may comprise ramp members at the end of the assembly or between treads to provide a ramp. A stair assembly comprising adjustable feet is also claimed. |
