<p>The position of the conveyor belt (7) relative to the axial roller conveyor table (8) can be altered whilst the harvester (1) is in operation. The harvester comprises at least one plough blade (2), at least one device for transporting the dug up potatoes in a first direction, a conveyor belt for receiving the potatoes from the transport device, an axial roller conveyor table for receiving the potatoes from the belt, and a further transport arrangement (10) for receiving the potatoes from the table. The belt angle and rotation direction are selected so that the transport direction of the potatoes is changed, causing the potatoes to roll off the bottom end (27) of the belt while soil is transported towards the top end (17). The table is used for further removal of soil and other debris from the potatoes and has a first end (18) abutting the belt and a second end (28) abutting a further transport arrangement, the potatoes being transported in a second direction from the first end to the second end.</p> |
