A standard battery for charging is provided to facilitate assemblage of a rechargeable battery for portable terminals, PDAs or portable electronic appliances, to minimize defects caused by bending of a battery, and to ensure excellent safety. A standard battery for charging comprises: a main body; a cell section(3) having a positive electrode(19) and a negative electrode(18); a terminal housing(6) forming an electrode contact(8); a protection circuit board comprising an electrical safety device; an upper housing(1) inserted into a locking protrusion with the protection circuit board inserted therebetween; a protection casing(4) inserted from the bottom of the cell section and coupled to the upper housing; a lower housing(2) inserted from the bottom of the cell section and coupled to the upper housing and the protection casing; and a label(5) attached to the protecting casing that protects the upper/lower housings and the cell section. |
