A composition comprising an extract of Siraitia grosvenori or a triterpene compound isolated therefrom is provided to fundamentally prevent and improve skin aging such as skin wrinkles, fine wrinkles, and roughness, thereby being used as a pharmaceutical and a cosmetic composition for inhibiting the wrinkle generation and improving the wrinkle. A skin topical pharmaceutical composition for improving wrinkle or a cosmetic composition comprises a crude extract of Siraitia grosvenori solubilized by a solvent selected from the group consisting of water, methanol, ethanol, propylene glycol, glycerine and butylene glycol or a triterpene compound isolated from the Siraitia grosvenori such as mogroside IV, mogroside V, siamenoside I, 11-oxo-mogroside V and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof as an effective ingredient.
